In Diablo IV Season 7, a new feature called “Mystic Gems” has been added. These gems can be crafted using materials and then socketed into equipment to enhance the effects of character skills. Let’s take a closer look at what these Mystic Gems can do!
How to Obtain Mystic Gems?
To craft Mystic Gems, you must first complete certain quests. For example, after completing the “Whispered Bounty” quest in the game, you can bring back an item called “Escaped Skull.” This skull is one of the key materials needed to craft Mystic Gems.
Next, you can find a character named Greena at the “Whispering Tree.” She can help you craft Mystic Gems using the following materials:
- Escaped Skull (obtained from the quest)
- Restless Corruption
- Gem Fragment
If you successfully defeat the enemies hiding the Escaped Skulls, you can obtain more materials to continue crafting Mysterious Gems.
Additionally, if you want to create more powerful high-tier Mysterious Gems, you will need other materials such as gem powder and other types of Mysterious Gems.
In addition to providing special abilities, each Mystical Gem increases your character’s armor by 160 points and all elemental resistances by 8%, which is very useful for improving survivability.
Let’s take a look at the specific Mystical Gems and their functions.

Mystical Gem Details
1. Unholy Pact
This gem makes all your non-unique “Evil Wizard” skills 25% more powerful.
2. Soul Heart
Similar to the one above, it specifically enhances non-unique “Intelligence Wizard” skills, also increasing their effectiveness by 25%.
3. Toad’s Wish
This gem mainly enhances “Growth and Decay” type wizard skills, increasing their effectiveness by 35%.
4. Phantom Thread
When you attack enemies that have been cursed, your suppression damage is increased by 40%, making it ideal for control-type combat.
5. Elder Insignia
This gem grants an additional 25% damage to multiple skills (including Dexterity, Corpse, Avatar, Mastery, Weapon Mastery, and Rage) when used against enemies affected by Curse. Additionally, this skill is now marked as a “Potential Skill” instead of the previous “Potential” tag.
6. Death’s Breath
As long as you have three or more “Evil Wizard” skills equipped, you gain a 25% movement speed and 15% critical strike chance bonus, making it ideal for classes that require quick movement.
7. Witchcraft Moment
Similarly, you must have at least three “Evil Wizard” skills equipped. Every 15 seconds, your first core skill will be tagged with “Evil,” further enhancing its effects.
8. Rage Secret Art
This gem specifically enhances your “Unique Wizard Spell” skill, increasing its damage by 40%, making it a great helper for damage-dealing classes.
9. Voice of the Stars
As long as your character has an active “Aura” effect, your ultimate skill will automatically gain Grimoire-related attributes and deal 10% increased damage.
10. Mind Wreath
When you have at least three “Spirit Wizard” skills equipped, the cooldown time for your defensive, death, and trap skills is reduced by 20%, making it ideal for players who rely on skill rotations.
11. Spiral Coin
Similarly, you need to socket three or more “Spirit Wizard” skills. This extends the duration of your crowd control skills by 30% and increases the chance of triggering lucky events by 20%.
12. Horn of Plenty
If you have three or more “Growth and Decay” skills embedded, your barrier generation, resilience, and thorn damage will all increase by 30%, making this a well-rounded gem for both offense and defense.
13. Vulture Claws
When you have the “Aura” effect active, your sustained damage output speed increases by 35%, making this ideal for prolonged battles.
14. Sharp Claws
This gem allows the units you summon to deal 25% more direct damage to elite enemies affected by “Curse.”
15. Evil Amulet
When you have a skill with the “Summon” tag equipped, if you take fatal damage, this gem will block the attack and generate a shield equal to 100% of your maximum health. However, this effect can only trigger once every 75 seconds, and summoning skills will be temporarily disabled during the trigger duration.
16. Marsh Friend
When you have three or more “Growth and Decay” skills equipped, your primary attributes (such as strength and agility) and maximum health are increased by 10%, and your character is always in an “Unimpeded” state, immune to slowing and control effects.
17. Moonlight Barrier
This gem is related to the “Unique Witchcraft Spell” skill. The higher the level of this skill you have equipped, the more damage reduction and all elemental resistance you gain. Specifically, each level provides 3% damage reduction and 1% resistance cap.
18. Dust Stone
Each time you apply an “Aura” or ‘Curse’ effect to an enemy, your damage against it increases by 4%. This effect can stack multiple times, making it ideal for players who focus on control or sustained damage.
- Hungry Void
As long as you have an active “Aura” effect, enemies within range will be pulled toward you every 8 seconds. This effect can be combined with area-of-effect skills to deal significant AoE damage.
