Diablo 3 Season 34 Tier List Explained: Easy Leveling Guide

Yesterday, Diablo III Season 34 finally launched! I couldn’t sit still the moment I heard the news and immediately fired up the game. Downed a big gulp of energy drink, kicked off my slippers, and got ready to dive in. Every new season feels like embarking on a fresh adventure—it’s incredibly exciting.

This time, I didn’t pick my usual Barbarian. While that class packs a serious punch, I decided to try out the Wizard. Word is Wizards are insanely powerful early on this season—one skill can light up the entire screen, mowing down hordes of enemies. I wanted to experience that “invincible” feeling myself.

Before diving in, I got ready

I dug out my notes from last season to avoid repeating mistakes. One crucial tip stuck with me: get a level 70 weapon crafted by the blacksmith ASAP. Even if your character isn’t level 70 yet, you can use special materials to craft gear that bypasses level requirements, letting you equip high-level items early.

To level up fast, I skipped the main story and dove straight into “Adventure Mode.” This lets you skip the narrative and jump right into monster-slaying.In Act I, there’s a spot where you need to grab something called a “Heraldik Cube.” Suddenly, a swarm of bees appeared on the path, and I died five times in a row—so frustrating. But I got it eventually.

Around level 50, I crafted a great weapon. Even though it was underleveled, its stats were powerful, making monster hunting a breeze.

Clearing Enemies with Lightning Skills

I chose the “Electro Mage” build, relying mainly on a skill called “Arcane Torrent” to fight monsters. Not long after starting, I got a pair of legendary wristguards that made this skill even more devastating. From then on, lightning followed me wherever I went, and monsters exploded on contact.

I mainly farmed in two areas:

  • Temple of the Firstborn: Its narrow corridors pack monsters together, letting me hit entire groups with a single skill—utterly satisfying.
  • Challenge Rifts after Level 30: Better loot drops and faster leveling. But I immediately discarded yellow gear (rare items) if they didn’t significantly boost damage—no time to waste.

Stuck in the Mid-Game? How to Break Through?

Around level 40, I hit a wall. Enemies multiplied, especially those ranged Skeleton Archers. They’d stand far off and constantly shoot me, draining my health rapidly. I tried several times but couldn’t progress.

Later, I employed a few strategies:

  • Swapped the gems on my weapon for red ones, which boosted my damage significantly.
  • Collected the “Firebird Set.” Once I had two pieces, I swapped the rest of my gear to complete the set. The boost was immediate.
  • Opened more “Nephalem Rift” portals, since they spawn more elite monsters and offer better loot drops.

The most crucial step was gambling for “Blood Soul Shards” to upgrade my off-hand gear. This relies on luck—after three attempts, I finally obtained a sphere that enhances the Meteor skill. With it, a single strike obliterates entire groups of enemies. I feel like a god descending from the heavens.

Final Sprint: Leveled Up Ten Times in an Hour

I reached level 70 from 60 in under an hour. By this point, I was already quite powerful:

  • I consistently farmed “Bounty Quests,” especially those from Zoltan Kule, who offered abundant materials and quick map traversal.
  • By level 68, my gear was mostly complete, so I switched to the toughest T1 difficulty for better loot drops.
  • I used every usable material to upgrade my legendary staff.

The entire process took 4 hours and 20 minutes. Not my fastest run, but still pretty solid.I did pause for twenty minutes to make coffee. Next time, remember: prep coffee beforehand—don’t let your stomach dictate your progress!

This new season taught me: with the right path and no detours, Mages can level up lightning fast. The key is prioritizing early on, clearing bottlenecks mid-game, and sprinting full-speed late-game. Playing with joy is what truly matters.
