Getting Started With the Mod
So today I fired up Skyrim again after downloading this “Rite of the Nine Weapons” mod everyone’s talking about. Grabbed it straight from Nexus like always, took me three tries ’cause the first two downloads glitched out. Damn slow internet. Double-checked compatibility patches too—not taking chances after last month’s crash fest.
Testing the Top Perks
Hopped into my level 30 save near Whiterun. Pulled up the perk menu, scrolled past the boring ones straight to the juicy stuff. Here’s what actually worked:
- Tide of Blood: Slapped this on my two-hander. Swung at a mudcrab first—splattered it good. Health bar barely moved. Tried it on a giant next. Dude crumbled in five hits. Felt kinda OP ngl.
- Ghostwalk: Equipped this for stealth archer mode. Crouched behind bandits at Valtheim Towers. Weird bug though: vanished completely BUT my arrows stayed visible? Got spotted immediately. Might need a fix.
- Sunder Armor: Took on an ebony warrior clone with this. Hear metal crunching sounds each hit. After 10 whacks, his armor rating tanked by half. Nice for boss fights, useless against mages though.
The Annoying Bits
Spent two hours grinding draugr for “Ancient Fury” perk unlocks. Killed like fifty skeletons in bleak falls barrow. Perk finally triggered… and immediately crashed the game. Reloaded, did it again—same damn crash. Ended up disabling that perk entirely. Not worth the headache.
Final Thoughts After Testing
Overall? Six perks function great, two are buggy as hell, one’s totally busted. Favorite’s still Tide of Blood—makes my barbarian feel like a god. But I’ll wait for patches before touching Ghostwalk again. If you try this mod, backup your saves. Trust me, you’ll need ‘em.
