Let Me Tell Ya About These Cheats
Just yesterday, I got real tired of doing the same old missions again in GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition. Wanted some chaos, ya know? So I remembered seeing stuff online about cheat codes still working, even in this “Definitive” mess. Decided to dig around myself, see what’s what.
Started simple. Fired up the PS5 version, loaded my save right there in Los Santos. First thing I tried? That famous weapons cheat everyone talks about: Right, X, Triangle, Left, L1, L1, L2, Left. Slammed those buttons quick. Heard the little “ka-ching” sound effect! Looked down… bam, AK47, shotgun, pistol, the whole gang was there. Worked just like the old days. Felt good.
Then I thought, ok, let’s get some wheels. Found one for spawning a specific car – something about a Rhino tank. The code was Circle, Circle, L1, Circle, Circle, Circle, L1, L2, R1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle. Man, my fingers stumbled over that one first try. Nothing happened. Took a breath, focused, pressed each button deliberate-like… BOOM. Big ol’ tank dropped right on me, squashed me flat! Loaded the save again, this time stepped back before hitting enter. Tank spawned across the street. Perfect.
But I wasn’t done. Wanted that flying bike action. The Jetpack cheat, I think it was Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, Up, Down, Left, Right. Messed this one up like three times. Either nothing happened or some random car spawned. Got mad, almost gave up. Took a sip of coffee, stared at the screen, mashed it slow and careful… suddenly, whoosh! That rocket bike thing appeared right there. Hopped on, shot straight into the sky like a firework. Spent like 20 minutes just buzzing buildings. Awesome.
Here’s where things got messy though. Tried that “Riot Mode” cheat, Right, Right, Left, Right, Square, Triangle, Up. Civilians went nuts instantly, cops everywhere shooting like crazy. Pure mayhem, fun for a minute. Then… game froze solid! Had to restart the whole thing. Lesson learned: save before going nuts with the really wild cheats in this version.
Kept playing around:
- Wanted sunshine? Tried Triangle, L1, Triangle, R2, Square, L1, L1. Sky cleared up nice.
- Needed health quick? Circle, L1, Triangle, R2, X, Square, Circle, Right, Square, L1, L1, L1 did the trick, filled that bar right up.
- Even found one for peds attacking each other! Down, Up, Up, Up, Square, L2, R1, Triangle, Up. Pure madness watching everyone just swing fists at random.
Some didn’t work at all, or crashed things. That insta-kill thingy? Nada. Super punch cheat? Felt like a normal punch. Gotta pick your battles with these codes now.
Overall verdict? Plenty of the classic cheats still work, even if they’re just as glitchy as the game itself sometimes. It saved my sanity last night when I was just too damn tired to chase a package or drive across the map again. Give ’em a shot, but save first, seriously. Found that out the hard way!
