Alright so I was replaying Baldur’s Gate 3 last night, right? Got totally stuck trying to find that damn Chamber of Courage. Wasted like two hours running in circles near the Githyanki Creche area before I figured it out. Figured I’d scribble down exactly how I did it so you guys don’t pull your hair out like I did.
The Dumb Start
First off, I totally missed the entrance. Was too busy fighting those asshole Githyanki patrols near the mountain pass fast travel point. Cleared ’em out, then wandered around the cliffs like a lost puppy. Pro tip: don’t bother climbing anything here. The real entrance is deceptively simple.
After reloading a save three times, I spotted it – this unassuming stone archway tucked behind some broken pillars east of the patrol fight. Looked like decorative rubble at first, but nope. Walked straight through it and bam! Inside this dusty old temple thing.
The Annoying Puzzle Part
Inside was dead quiet. Three stone guardians stood frozen in a triangle, each holding a weapon. Near their feet? Three pressure plates with weird symbols. Poked around:
- Tried placing random junk from my backpack – spoons, rotten tomatoes, even Gale’s dirty socks. Nothing.
- Accidentally stepped on one plate. All guardians woke up and kicked my party’s ass in seconds.
- Tried using Mage Hand. Nope, needs actual weight.
Then it hit me – weapons. Dropped a common dagger on the sword symbol plate, a shitty shortbow on the bow plate, and a club on the… club plate. Felt stupidly obvious after. The guardians powered down, and this huge stone door at the back groaned open.
Snagging the Loot
Beyond the door? A tiny circular chamber with a single pedestal. On it sat that glowing “Courage” medallion thing. Grabbed it, heard crumbling sounds – ceiling started collapsing. Bolted out like my Tav’s life depended on it (it did). Made it with like 2 seconds to spare. Got XP, the medallion, and felt like a genius for five minutes.
Final advice: save before stepping inside. Those stone dudes hit stupid hard if you mess up. Worth it though. Now excuse me while I go take a nap – mental gymnastics are exhausting.
