BG3 Mod Big Penis Not Working? Quick Fixes for Common Installation Problems

My Big Penis Mod Disaster & How I Salvaged It

Alright folks, here we go again. Yesterday, I fired up BG3 ready for some fun, downloaded that popular “Big Penis” mod everyone’s buzzing about. Seemed straightforward, right? Wrong. Ended up staring at a character screen like a complete idiot.

First thing I did? Dumped the mod files straight into my BG3 mod folder like I always do. Game loads up, I’m clicking on character creation super fast, expecting glorious results. Nothing. My character was chilling in his default state, like the mod was taking a vacation. Seriously pissed off.

Thought maybe I grabbed a busted version. Went back, redownloaded the mod files – same crap. Double-checked I unzipped everything properly. Yep. All files sitting there pretending to work. Hit the forums, started digging. Saw people mentioning needing that BG3SE thingy. “Okay,” I mumbled, feeling kinda stupid. Checked my mod manager settings – BG3SE wasn’t enabled. Slapped my forehead real hard. Enabled it quick.

Fired up the game again. Held my breath. Character creation screen… still absolutely nothing changed. Like I hadn’t done a damn thing. Now I’m throwing my mouse on the sofa cushion (gently, it’s expensive!). Rebooted the whole computer for good measure. Nothing. Zero. Zip.

Went back to the mod page description, actually read it word for word this time. Saw tiny letters mentioning needing “Appearance Framework” mod. Facepalmed so hard my head hurt. Of course it needed another mod! How did I miss that? Rushed to grab it, tossed it in the mod folder alongside Big Penis. Enabled both in the manager. Launched BG3.

Still. Flipping. Normal. I was ready to scream. This shouldn’t be rocket science. Checked the load order on a hunch. My mod manager had shoved the Big Penis mod way above the Appearance Framework mod. That felt wrong. Forced Big Penis mod to load after the Framework by dragging it lower in the list. Saved the changes.

One more launch. Clicked Character. Finally. Options galore! Customization worked! Felt like a damn wizard after an all-day siege. All because I couldn’t be bothered to read properly and forgot load order matters. What a doofus. Still, got there in the end!
