Alright let’s dive into Act 3. Total jungle mess for newbies like I was, trust me. Grabbed my Fireball Sorceress and zapped my way straight outta town into the Spider Forest.
First up, gotta find those spider caves. Ran around like a headless chicken, clicked every stash and weird log. Killed a bunch of spiders and those nasty little flayers popping outta nowhere. Finally stumbled into the Arachnid Lair. Easy fight inside, smashed the eggs, got Khalim’s Eye. Boom. First piece. Simple.
Golden Bird quest next? Hah! Made me wanna cry. Murdered some Flayers near the Spider waypoint, then like a miracle, this dude dropped the Jade Figurine. Thought “sweet, early drop!” Ran back to town feeling proud. Gave it to Meshif… who gives you a potion? Seriously? Alkor wanted that for the stupid golden bird reward? Oh man. Felt like an idiot running back and forth. At least the permanent +20 health is kinda worth the hassle.
The Flail hunt was another nightmare. Wandered into the Flayer Jungle swamp. Died twice to those exploding little dolls. Swore at the screen. Found the Gidbinn knife after ages of clearing huts. Back to Ormus, get the flail. Now Ormus needs it enchanted. Fine. Trekked down to Kurast Bazaar waypoint. Dodged traps, dodged Zakarum priests shooting fire. Found the forge in Lower Kurast. Slammed the flail onto it. Finally got Khalim’s Will.
Travincal. Oh boy. That place sucks. Found it after getting lost twice. Three big boss guys surrounded by zealots. They healed each other! Took me 4 tries. Died ugly each time before this. Strategy? Run away like crazy, lure them out one by one, nuke them with Fireballs before they could heal. Felt good smashing that altar.
Mephisto time. Grabbed Khalim’s Heart in the Durance Level 2 after more flayer madness. Level 3 was just chaos – council members everywhere spamming hydras, those dolls just waiting to explode in your face. Used a million purple pots. Found the stairs. Portal spam near Mephisto’s lake is key. Teleported like mad, dodged his lightning spit, threw every Fireball I had while chugging blues. Took forever. Heart pounding crazy hard. Seeing him drop? Pure relief. Grabbed his soulstone, got the hell outta that awful jungle.
Still hate those flayers. Never wanna see another one.
