Alright, so I been replaying Diablo 2 Resurrected again and thought, why not make a Bowazon this time? Everyone says it’s complicated, but I figured there’s gotta be a lazy way to do it. Grabbed some coffee, fired up the game, and dove in.
Starting from Scratch
First thing, rolled a fresh Amazon. Named her “BoomHeadshot” – real original, I know. Dumped all starter points into Dexterity right away. Didn’t even touch Strength or Vitality early on. Figured I’d need all the accuracy I can get, and boy was that a gamble.
Skills Mess at Level 12
Got to Act 1 boss and realized my basic arrows were pathetic. Panic-specced into Magic Arrow just to deal with stupid physical immunes. Big mistake! Wasted like 5 points before noticing the mana drain. Respec’d immediately using Akara’s quest reward. Lesson learned: save respecs for screwups.
What Actually Worked:
- Maxed Guided Arrow first – homing missiles are cheat codes
- Dumped leftover points into Strafe for crowd control
- Ignored Valkyrie completely – too lazy to micro-manage
Gear Nightmares
Ran around with crap gear until Act 2. Farmed Countess for runes like crazy, got lucky with a few Amns. Slammed ‘em into a 3-socket Hunter’s Bow – made “Edge” runeword trash bow. Still sucked against lightning beetles though. Almost rage-quit when Merc died for the 20th time.
The Big Breakthrough
Finally found a Buriza crossbow in Act 3 nightmare. Carried me ALL the way to Baal. Freezing arrows + Buriza’s pierce? Absolutely disgusting combo. Just held right-click and watched everything shatter. Didn’t even need elite gear – socketed it with a Shael for speed and called it done.
Final Setup
Ended up at level 80 with this jank setup:
- Guided Arrow 20, Strafe 20, Critical Strike 10
- Buriza with Shael rune (lol farmed cows for hours)
- Smoke armor runeword – cheap and tanky
- Valkyrie Helm for life leech – dropped randomly from Mephisto
Finished hell difficulty last night by kiting Baal around like a scared chicken. Zero fancy gear, zero trading. Just pure bow spam and patience. Bowazon “easy mode” exists – just gotta embrace being a glass cannon and run away a lot. Never touching poison javelins again.
