Jumping Into Season 8 Fresh

Woke up early when servers launched, made coffee while patching. Saw that new Terror Zones finally rotate every hour now instead of fixed timers. Huge relief – no more setting alarms for 3AM Duriel runs.

Testing The Loot Changes

Rolled a new Hammerdin because patch notes said they buffed Blessed Hammer damage. Felt way smoother clearing Chaos Sanctuary at level 75. Noticed these things farming:

  • Rune drops feel better – got Vex from Countess first try, might be luck though
  • Less junk uniques – only saw two Cathan’s masks in five Mephisto runs
  • Sunder charms drop like candy – got three lightnings in Terrorized Arcane

The Real Farming Strategy Shift

Changed my whole routine after testing Terror Zones. What works now:

  1. Check map rotation hourly – ditch bad zones immediately
  2. Focus on zones with dense packs – Stony Tomb outperformed Flayer Jungle
  3. Ignore Baal runs completely – Terrorized Andy gives better XP/minute

Found that stacking zero Magic Find works stupidly well for Sunder charm farming. Sacrificed Shako for peasant crown and got three cold breaks in one afternoon.

What’s Still Broken (And What’s Not)

Wasted two hours trying the “fixed” Merc pathfinding. Still gets stuck on doorway in Maggot Lair. But hey – stash search actually works now! Typed “shako” and it highlighted my Harlequin instantly. Small wins.

Current Status After Week One

Level 92 Paladin sitting on seven Sunder charms. Zero high runes over Gul though. Swear they stealth-nerfed LK chests – 200 runs only gave me a Pul. Gonna try Travincal with new hork barb next weekend. Overall? Best QoL season since launch despite minor bugs.
