So yesterday my buddy Jake kept bugging me about getting Diablo 3 Eternal Collection. He’s all like, “dude it’s cheap now, gotta play together”. Honestly, I kinda burned out on grinding rifts years ago, but heck, why not if it’s a steal.
Figuring Out Where to Even Look
First thing I did was open my laptop like usual. Typed “diablo 3 pc cheap” into Google, clicked the first few links. Big mistake. Saw ads yelling “80% OFF” – turned out that junk was for some knockoff mobile game. Ugh.
Felt pretty annoyed, so I went straight to the big game stores I know:
- The green one with the big summer sales
- The blue one run by that Windows company
- The kinda purple one with all the indie stuff
Scrolled through each storefront, typing “Diablo 3 Eternal Collection” real slow so I didn’t mess up.
Hitting Wall After Wall
The blue store? Totally messin’ with me. Only showed the stupid console versions, like PS4 and Xbox. Kept saying “PC version unavailable” or whatever. Really? Come on guys.
Moved to the purple store. Found it okay, but price wasn’t anything special. Just sitting there at regular price like it’s still 2012 or something. No thanks.
Almost Pulling the Trigger Too Soon
Finally found it on the green store – showed a pretty good discount too. Got excited, clicked “Add to Cart” real fast. Then I paused. Felt like I remembered the base game plus Reaper of Souls expansion sold separately sometimes. Checked the description super carefully this time. Saw the words “Includes all content” and “Rise of the Necromancer” – yeah, this was Eternal Collection. Dodged that bullet.
Then I saw the actual price. After tax? Higher than Jake mentioned. Kinda sucks. Did a quick search on “Diablo 3 Eternal Collection sale reddit” (sorry, can’t link anything). Saw folks talkin’ about some third-party sellers having it cheaper a week ago, but most places now matched the green store price. Felt a bit stiffed, honestly.
Settling for Okay Instead of Awesome
After like an hour chasing ghosts, I kinda gave up. Didn’t find this amazing deal Jake hyped up. Just felt tired. Went back to the green store, added it to my cart, grumbled a bit, and hit buy. Downloading it now on my aging gaming laptop – hope it runs okay.
Bottom line? If you want it right now, the green store seems to be the main place with the PC version actually available. But don’t expect some crazy discount miracle. Paid more than I wanted, but Jake better show up for those rifts.
