Okay guys, so I finally had time to test that Javazon leveling build everyone’s talking about for Diablo 2. Wanted to see if it really speeds things up like they claim. Here’s exactly what happened when I tried it out.
Getting Started
First I rolled a fresh Amazon – named her “LightningLass” obviously. Wasted like 5 minutes trying to find a decent javelin vendor in Rogue Encampment before realizing I could just use my starter javelin. Big facepalm moment. Anyways, dumped all early points into Poison Javelin because it shreds groups early on.
- Act 1 Strategy: Just spammed Poison Javelin at everything that moved. Felt kinda weak until level 6 when Jab unlocked – then things got spicy real quick.
- Early Gear Tip: Found a 2-socket breast plate and shoved two Tir runes in there. Free mana when killing things? Total game changer for spamming abilities nonstop.
Power Spikes & Farming Zones
Hit level 12 and instantly dumped points into Charged Strike. Holy hell this skill melts bosses. Ran Blood Moor like 8 times back-to-back. Got obsessed with finding a rare javelin but settled for blue ones with +jav skills. Here’s what worked:
- Cleared Den of Evil until level 15
- Ground Tristram runs for exp until 18 (Cain rescue gives killer exp)
- Spammed Countess runs for Tal and Eth runes – made that sweet “Stealth” armor ASAP
Biggest mistake? Wasted time doing full clears. Should’ve just rushed key areas and bosses. Also forgot to stock up on mana pots before Andariel fight. Died twice like an idiot.
Breaking into Nightmare
At level 30 respeced hard into Lightning Fury + Pierce combo. Felt like cheating – entire screens just vaporized instantly. Carried a junk javelin for physical immunes until I got an elemental damage charm. Pro tip:
- Merc absolutely needs Insight polearm – solves all mana problems
- Spent 40 minutes gambling circlets for +skills before giving up
Finished at level 52 after 2 evenings. Definitely faster than my last Zealot run. Still prefer Sorc for teleport though – running everywhere sucks. Now gonna farm Mephisto for Titans Revenge… if that sucker ever drops!
