Last Tuesday morning I figured I should finally book that Starlight Parade thing everyone’s been yapping about. Grabbed my lukewarm coffee at 7AM sharp thinking “how hard can this be”.
First thing: went straight to the passholder page on my phone browser. Totally blank white screen for two solid minutes. Refreshed like crazy while spilling coffee on my pajama pants. Classic start.
When it finally loaded, the date selector looked like one of those airport slot machines. Scrolled through the calendar seeing nothing but greyed-out boxes for next three weeks. Panic-smashed the refresh button until a single green square popped up – June 14th at 8:30PM.
My sausage fingers somehow hit the wrong date first try. Got this angry red error shout: “INVALID SELECTION”. Did that whole palm-slap-forehead thing before trying again. This time got the confirmation spinny wheel of doom that lasted eight eternal minutes. Seriously thought my dog chewed through the router cable.
Suddenly the confirmation page flashes up! No email comes through though. Checked junk folder, nothing. Had this cold sweat moment remembering Disney’s weird “no screenshot, no reservation” rule folks talk about. Finally got the email three hours later while I was scrubbing coffee stains off my pants.
What worked for me:
- Chrome on phone (Safari kept crashing)
- Spamming refresh before official opening time
- Having pass ID screenshot ready
- Wearing stain-resistant pants
Whole system feels like trying to pet a greased squirrel. Wouldn’t trust that confirmation email either – printed two copies plus bathroom mirror selfie with the screen. Now crossing fingers the ride sensors don’t break down on the 14th like last time!
