Three times the first online number I saw. Nearly passed out.
Yeah, I did save some by doing the grunt work. But those “hidden” expenses? The tools I didn’t own? The permits? The pro help I almost needed? They slaughtered my budget. Learned a painful lesson: cheap online estimates for stuff like wiring are basically fairy tales.
