Navigate the Tdas Map How to Move Around Regions Fast and Safely

So today I wanna talk about navigating that dang Tdas map efficiently. Felt like I spent half my life loading between zones before I figured this out.

The Headache

Started simple: needed resources from three different corners of the map. Brutal. Clicked a far region… wait five seconds… loading screen… zone in… run ten seconds… click another far region… wait again… felt like watching paint dry. My character spent more time staring at loading screens than actually doing stuff. Absolutely maddening.

Stumbling On Shorter Paths

Got annoyed and started clicking closer regions instead, just to see. Whoa. Loading time dropped. Realized the damn map wasn’t flat – regions connected like stepping stones. Skipping directly between zones that didn’t touch was the slow way. Found a couple of key routes:

  • Stick to border regions first – they chain together quicker
  • Coastal paths often loaded faster than inland jumps
  • Small zones load almost instantly vs. big complicated ones

Testing It Properly

Alright, time for science. Picked a crazy route: northwest icy zone alllll the way southeast jungle. Old way: clicked jungle direct from ice. Ten whole seconds loading. Felt eternal. New way? Ice region -> tiny forest buffer zone (one sec load) -> medium hills zone (two secs) -> jungle edge (three secs). Total load time? About six seconds, but broken up while I actually moved. Huge difference in feel. Way less aggravating.

Bonus Safety Trick

Almost messed myself up testing this. Got cocky, tried jumping three zones fast. Screen went black… then flashed weirdly. Heart stopped – thought it crashed. Nope. Just unstable connection. Learned the hard way: always pause one second after entering a new zone before clicking away. Let the game settle. Avoids those near-heart attack moments.

Final Workflow That Stuck

Now here’s how I roll:

1. Open map & spot my target zone.

2. Trace backward to my current spot, marking ONLY the touching zones in between.

3. Click the closest “stepping stone” zone first, NOT the far target.

4. Zone in, wait a breath.

5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 hopping through the chain.

Takes slightly longer total? Maybe by a second or two. But I spend way less time staring at spinning icons. Feels snappier, less rage-inducing, and way safer for my old computer. Makes you wonder why they didn’t just explain it upfront instead of having everyone waste time figuring it out like I did. Typical.
