Alright folks, grabbing my coffee this morning, I knew I needed spirits bad in Path of Exile 2. Seriously, I was scraping the bottom of the barrel stash-wise. So yeah, decided to really focus on farming those spirits today and figured I’d jot down exactly how it went. No fancy talk, just what I did.
Started Simple: Just Logged In and Looked
First things first, booted up the game, like always. Didn’t jump straight into some crazy high-level zone. Nah. Went straight back to the Bloodwood area – Act 1 stuff, super early. Why? Because I remembered those little spooky wisp things pop up a lot there early on. Easy targets, you know?
Grabbed my fastest character. Didn’t matter what build, just needed to run fast. Spent maybe… 2 minutes? Yeah, just running circles near the Bloodwood Farm waypoint. Smacked every little spirit pack I saw. Boom, already had like 40 spirits. Fast and dirty.
Got Serious with the Timer
Okay, warmed up. Now time for the real grind. I set a timer on my phone – 30 minutes. Pure farming sprint. Goal? Simple: get as many spirits as humanly possible in half an hour.
Ran back to the Twilight Strand starting beach. Sounds dumb, right? Super low level monsters. But here’s the thing:
- Monsters Die Fast: Like, one hit and poof! Gone.
- Spawns are Predictable: Spirits keep popping up near those ruined shipwrecks and the big rock clusters on the beach. Ran a specific loop: up the left side near wrecks, cut across the middle big rocks, down the right shore, repeat.
- Zero Competition: Hardly anyone else farming this spot for spirits at this point. Had the whole beach practically to myself.
Just held down my movement skill key, spammed my attack button non-stop near any hint of a blue glow. Didn’t bother looting anything else, not even currency shards. Pure spirit laser focus. Thumbs started hurting! Kept glancing at the timer.
Ended Up Way Over Target
Timer beeped. Felt like I ran a marathon with my fingers! Checked the spirit count in my inventory. Couldn’t believe it.
Started with 40 spirits before the 30 minutes.
Ended with 890 spirits.
Yup! Just shy of 850 spirits in 30 minutes. Basically a little over 28 spirits every single minute. That’s nuts for such low effort. Just running circles on the damn beach!
Why This Nonsense Works
Some folks overcomplicate it. Higher level zones? More dangerous monsters? Nah. Waste of time for pure spirit farming speed.
- Kill Speed is King: Why fight tough mobs when beach skeletons evaporate? More kills per second = more spirit chances per second.
- No Downtime: Didn’t stop running except to cast the attack. No managing loot, no messing with portals.
- Total Noob Move Pays Off: Seriously, Act 1 zones are overlooked goldmines for resource farming if you move fast and target specific spots. The spirits still drop the same!
It ain’t glamorous, grinding a starter beach. But hey, my stash tab is overflowing with spirits now, ready for crafting later. Mission accomplished. Thumbs need a break though.
