Alright so I tried out this Spiritborn setup everyone’s yelling about for crazy damage. Let me walk you through exactly how I did it, step by step. No fancy talk, just what actually happened when I played.
Sitting Down to Figure This Out
First thing I did? Logged into my barbarian. Wasn’t sure what skills I even had unlocked, honestly. Went straight to the skill tree menu and stared at it for way too long. Felt kinda lost, ngl. Remembered folks talking about Charge being key, so I clicked into that branch first.
Messing With Skills
Didn’t have enough points to max everything yet, so had to pick and choose. Threw points into:
- Enhanced Charge – because unstoppable sounds good, right?
- Mighty Charge – figured the Fury generation couldn’t hurt.
- Swiftness Aspect from my gear – slapped that on an amulet hoping for speed.
Honestly? It felt sluggish at first. Tried it on some trash mobs outside Kyovashad and was like, “This is it? Really?” Damage was okay, not blowing my mind. Needed to tweak more.
Finding the Big Damage
Then I realized something obvious. Wallop. Completely forgot about that passive! Dumped points there immediately. Saw the big numbers pop up whenever Charge bashed enemies into a wall. Okay, NOW we’re talking. That passive is NOT optional if you want big damage. Learned that the hard way.
Next, focused on the Weapon Mastery cluster. Figured since I was spamming Charge, I needed help managing Fury. Grabbed:
- Gushing Wounds
- Pressure Point – critical strikes for more damage? Yes please.
- Slaying Strike – obviously.
Suddenly my Fury wasn’t vanishing after two Charges. Could actually chain them together now.
The Gear That Made It Click
Had a decent two-hander lying around. Found a Aspect of Limitless Rage on another piece and moved it over. That extra damage while having Fury? Massive. Found a legendary helm with a shout cooldown reduction. Don’t sleep on shouts! Rallying Cry especially helps Fury big time and gives unstoppable.
Putting It Into Practice
Loaded into a mid-tier nightmare dungeon. Approach was super simple:
- Spot group of monsters.
- Rallying Cry – hit that first for Fury boost and unstoppable.
- Charge straight THROUGH them, aiming to smash them sideways or preferably into a wall.
- Watch the Wallop passive explode them.
- Repeat. Fury barely dipped thanks to the setup.
Elites? Same thing. Charge, slam into wall, melt. Bosses took a few more passes but went down WAY faster than my old build. The constant movement from Charge also meant avoiding damage without even trying that hard.
What Actually Worked
Biggest takeaways from playing it:
- Wallop Passive is non-negotiable. Charge into walls = main damage source.
- You ABSOLUTELY need Rallying Cry. The Fury and unstoppable are mandatory to keep charging.
- Pressure Point and Slaying Strike make the big hits crit more often for huge numbers.
- Legendary aspects focusing on Fury generation/damage multipliers (like Limitless Rage) make a night-and-day difference.
Took a few dungeons to get the rhythm, especially aiming the Charges into walls consistently. But once it clicked? Whole screens were vanishing. Felt stupid fast and powerful. Hope this helps ya smash things faster!
