Okay so me try to level up that new Spiritborn class in Diablo 4 yesterday. Man, I heard people talking about it being fast, so I figure, let me jump in and see what’s up. My usual way is kinda slow, gotta try something new.
First thing, I logged in feeling kinda hyped. Made my Spiritborn character – looked cool already. Got past the intro stuff, started whacking those first few weak demons outside town. Felt basic. Then I remembered the whole point of this “fast leveling” build thing people talk about.
Started hunting for skills. Focused hard on anything that moves me faster. Found this one dash skill early on – super important! Spammed that point into it immediately. Felt good, started zooming around.
Next, I looked for the biggest, baddest AoE skill I could find early on. Something where I just hit a button and BOOM, whole screen lights up. Found one that kinda swirled around me. Put points there too. Now I can dash into a big pack of mobs, hit the swirl button, and watch everything explode. Much faster than hitting one guy at a time!
Gear? Honestly, didn’t sweat it too much early. Just grabbed whatever dropped that looked okay, mostly stuff with green up arrows meaning better stats. If it had something like “Movement Speed” or boosted the damage type my main AoE skill used? Jackpot, slapped that on right away. Didn’t waste time comparing tiny numbers.
My whole strategy became super simple:
- Zooooom with the dash skill to the next enemy pack.
- Hit my BIG AoE skill right in the middle.
- Collect loot FAST while things are dying.
- Zooooom again to the next pack. Repeat non-stop!
Stopping slows you down. Like, a lot. Didn’t pick up every single piece of trash loot, only glanced for yellows or maybe useful blues. Town trips? Quick! Repair, dump junk, check for quick crafting upgrades on weapon, get back out ASAP. Time sitting in town is wasted XP.
Targets? Big groups of trash enemies, always. Elite packs were cool cause more loot, but not worth chasing down a single one across the map. Kept moving, always moving.
By sticking to this simple smack-and-run style, I got through those first bunch of levels way quicker than last season. Not record-breaking, but definitely felt smooth and easy. Took maybe a couple hours to hit level 30? Didn’t feel like a grind at all. The key was just GO GO GO, big boom on cooldown.
Funny thing happened though. My doorbell rang right when I was fighting this nasty boss fight. Had to answer it – some dude trying to sell me windows. Took like 10 minutes? Came back, totally forgot the controls, mashed buttons like an idiot and got my Spiritborn wrecked right before the kill. Lost progress and everything. Stupid window salesman! Lesson learned: close the curtains before trying to level fast.
