Okay, so yesterday I was grinding Nightmare Dungeons, right? Total slog fest, took forever. Then this crazy unique dropped – Voice of the Stars. Honestly, my stash is full of garbage uniques I never use. Almost salvaged it. But something felt different. Stats looked weirdly powerful for something, so I stopped salvaging and decided to mess with it.
Throwing Everything At The Wall First
Started with my Barb. Slammed it on, jumped into a Tier 50. Felt… same? Shouted, spun, died. Same as always. The item didn’t seem to pop off. Swapped to my Sorcerer next. Thought maybe the mana regen could break something. Nope. Still squishy, still chugging potions like crazy. Voice of the Stars just sat there. Felt like a total waste of stash space at this point.
The Game Changer
Almost gave up. Saw my dusty Necro alt sitting there. Thought “Eh, why not, dead character anyway.” Slapped Voice of the Stars on, swapped some skills around for minions and Overpower stuff. Hopped into a dungeon expecting another wipe. Holy crap, it was like flipping a switch. Minions weren’t dying instantly anymore. My health globe stayed full. And the kicker? That stupid unique suddenly felt GODLY. Every time my fortify hit max? Boom – insane damage pulses everywhere. Stuff just exploded around me. Went straight to Tier 60 after that. Cleared it faster than Tier 50 on my Barb. Legit felt broken.
Here’s what clicked:
- Minion Taunt + Fortify Synergy: Voice kept my minions alive with the healing pulses when THEY took hits. This taunted mobs onto them, not me.
- Fortify Building Like Crazy: Using Blood skills, I built fortify stupid fast. Voice of the Stars triggers its big damage pulse when you max out fortify.
- Zero Thinking Required: Just spammed basic skills to keep fortify building, threw an overpowered Bone Spirit now and then. Minions tanked everything, Voice pulverized everything. Laughed the whole time.
So yeah, tried it for days on other classes. Nothing. Necro? Totally brain-dead easy mode win button. Still feels like cheating. Don’t sleep on this dumb amulet if you have a Necro. Minion builds are back? Feels weird saying that. Go try it. Just point and laugh while stuff dies.
