Okay so yesterday I fired up Diablo 4 for Season 7, right? Feeling pumped for the new grind. Jumped into the new seasonal area, started smashing demons, looting stuff like always.
Got Buried Under Stuff
First thing I noticed? My inventory filled up stupid fast. Like seriously, way faster than before. Kept picking up these new items: Shiny little crystals, some weird broken gear fragments, stuff like that. Name? Yeah, “Purified Acrystals” and “Refined Parts”. Sounds fancy. Honestly, it felt like clutter at first. Couldn’t craft much with ’em initially.
Got annoyed real quick trying to manage space. Had to keep hauling my butt back to town every few minutes just to dump things. Felt super inefficient. Was like, “What is all this crap for?”
Started Paying Attention
Kept playing, focusing on the season stuff – those seasonal quests and the new ‘something’ dungeon thing they added. Noticed a pattern:
- Those Purified Acrystals? Seemed to drop everywhere. Just smashing regular mobs, finishing quests, bam, there they were. Piling up constantly.
- The Refined Parts? Those needed more effort. Found way more when I went out of my way to hunt down specific seasonal targets or do those special seasonal events popping up.
- Oh, and gold! Good old gold. Still pouring in from everywhere as usual.
Started paying attention where stuff dropped, not just picking up blindly.
Figuring Out the Point
Finally tracked down the new seasonal vendor guy in town. Went to see what nonsense he wanted.
Here’s the kicker:
- Purified Acrystals = Basic Currency. Seriously, anything seasonal this guy sells? Costs these. Basic upgrades, rerolls, entry fees for new things? All paid in Acrystals. They’re the lifeblood, super common because you need tons for everything.
- Refined Parts = Special Parts. Found out you combine these with Acrystals to make the really powerful stuff. Think higher tier crafts, specific powerful buffs or unlocks. Less common because you need fewer, but gotta work a bit harder for them.
- Gold = The Backup. The new vendor also takes gold for some things, usually alongside the seasonal stuff. Helps bridge the gap, lets you do basic rerolls or purchases even when Acrystals/parts are tight.
It clicked. Acrystals fuel everything seasonal, literally the primary gas. Parts refine that gas into premium fuel for the good stuff. Gold is just your regular money still chugging along.
So, Simply Put
After getting lost in the inventory mess then figuring it out? Season 7 primary resources are easy:
- Purified Acrystals: Your main cash. Needed for everything seasonal. You’ll swim in them.
- Refined Parts: Your special ingredients. Combined with Acrystals for the top-shelf seasonal stuff.
- Gold: Still your universal pocket money, usable for a helping hand in the seasonal stuff too.
Forget the fancy names. Just remember Acrystals = Basic Bills, Parts = Special Sauce, Gold = Pocket Change. Chase Acrystals relentlessly, grab Parts when you see them (especially the special events!), and you’re set for the season. Easy enough after wasting half my playtime figuring it out!
